Lifesuits are the outer 'skin' that Cendarii wear over their shells. It's very rarely ever removed, and is necessary to retain the level of mana necessary to prevent their core from evaporating. Extra mana is stored within the capacitor located on its back, along with an armored segment to keep the capacitor safe.
The suit also serves as basic environmental control (maintaining body temperature within a tolerable range) and a basic level of protection. It's slightly more cut-resistant than human skin, and is moderately cushioned for added comfort.
Though the suit is made of organic materials, it's not affected by healing magic. It does, however, heal on its own over time. Those with the proper tools (such as Cendarii Engineers) can repair them.
Cendarii can feel through the suit as if it were their own skin, up to and including pain from cuts or burns.
Each Cendarii class has its own suit style, designed to fill the needs of their role. The suit can be modified (within certain restrictions) to the wearer's personal tastes. Common modifications include the removal of the glove fingers, and adding jewelry to the seams.
